BOOTS NEEDED for the Porters Progress' clothing banks. They recently had to throw away 260 pairs as they had been repaired so many times, there was little left of the original boot!.
They only have a 54 pairs of boots in good condition  at the office. They are hoping to get 200 pairs of boots donated, over the next 6 months.
The problems is to get them there. So if you have any idea on how to do this, please contact Porters Progress.
Note: They also need 500 sunglasses and 250 pairs of gloves for both the Kathmandu and the Lukla clothing banks.

It is IPPG's wish to promote an ethical and sustainable trekking industry to benefit all concerned. Please help to achieve this end by encouraging people to go trekking and to care for their porters.

MEDIA!
While we welcome the media to use the newsletters and our web site as a source of information, please remember that porters depend on trekkers for their livelihood and beating up tales of exploitation can have a very negative effect. IPPG encourages people to go trekking and make a real difference to the lives of these remarkable people.
