IPPG projects for 2003

Ongoing projects

• Circulate the newsletter
• Give talks and media interviews, writing articles
• Distribute flyers aimed at porters and the trekking public
• Continue working with other NGOs, government bodies and trekking companies
• Continue to hang the Mountain Porter Travelling Photo Exhibition worldwide
• Continue to support Kul Bahadur Rai (see report)

New projects

• Build two porter shelters in the Annapurna, Nepal (see Hong Kong report)
• Set up a porter rescue post and build a porter shelter at Machermo in the Gokyo region, Nepal (see Machermo porter rescue post article)
• Help support the start up of Porteadores Inka Ñan, Peru
